The song is about awakening to the senses and the understanding there is more beyond where you stand at the present moment. The wish to explore new places and discover new horizons. All stages of life can discover the beauty within the “Colors of the Universe''. Like the youthful fury to travel the world and see what’s beyond or the ancient soul who’s lived many joys and tears ready to pass to the next realm. The enigma of other universes is seductive as our vision awakens to new possibilities..“My eyes have seen it all, a billion thousand wonders arise”. Through this arousal of the senses we feel free exploring new
heights of our self and existence being in the present moment. The possibilities of human existence and imagination are limitless as in the refrain “This is now I float, I swim, I fly. This is also connected to the potential of movement. As we shape shift into new realms of the universe we feel limitless autonomy and no concept of time “I am so free through the pulse of time”. The song shifts in the last line of the chorus foreshadowing death, “The blind bird is in flight tonight” even though we are blind from the physical world we are still in flight to the beyond. The awakening of the senses gives the possibility of exploration of life even beyond the boundaries of our present imagination.
